Big Event Photography was created as a specialist event photography company serving the South East of England.

Our philosophy is incredibly simple: We want to take photographs at your event that you will want to display and not just stuff in a drawer.

Stuff in a drawer event photography is very easily achieved - you will require: a cheap camera and cheap lens - a dye-sub printer - a few boxes of mounts - an old sheet for a background and maybe a couple of lights with an umbrella stuck in each one and away you go - instantly forgettable "hotdog"event photography is yours for the taking - next find some punters who don't care about or haven't considered the quality of the images you will provide for them. The results are guaranteed to be "D-U-L-L dull" - to borrow a phrase from a well known TV dance judge.

Hot dog photographers are keen on sales staff. They will bring along to your event at least one person who will actively encourage you to purchase their prints.

But we don't want to do that...

We aim to produce photographs that you will want to buy - as speedily as possible. We want to enjoy your event too. We don't want to harass your guests and spoil the atmosphere.

Images which are worth displaying require a trained photographer who is comfortable taking their camera out of program mode and knows the ins and outs of flash both on and off camera.
We use the same professional Canon cameras and lenses that you will see professional sports photographers using.

We use the same lighting equipment and flash diffusers that are employed by hi-end photographic studios.

We can offer you a choice of backdrops - including white - and will be happy to offer you advice on the most appropriate background for your event.

The large images (there are 8 of them) which are constantly changing on the home page are designed to show you the different types of event we cover and the care we take in creating our images.
